About the Role:
The Mental Health Lead will play a critical role in supporting service users with mental health needs, designing and overseeing care strategies that promote emotional wellbeing and recovery. You’ll also support staff with mental health awareness, guidance, and crisis management strategies to ensure a supportive environment for both clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement mental health support plans for service users
- Liaise with mental health professionals and local authorities
- Promote psychological wellbeing and resilience within the staff team
- Conduct mental health assessments and reviews
- Deliver training to staff on mental health awareness, risk indicators, and best practices
- Background in mental health nursing, psychology, or therapeutic support
- Strong understanding of mental health legislation, safeguarding, and risk management
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Relevant qualification (e.g., RMN, mental health degree, or equivalent experience)
